We are Jelena and Ludwig Bauer. Since 2014, we have been bringing a piece of Jelena's home country, Serbia, to Germany – with natural foods from wild foraging, heirloom fruit and vegetable varieties, and traditional family recipes.
Many of our fruits and wild plants come from the pristine nature of southern Serbia. They are carefully collected there, hand-selected, and processed according to passed-down family recipes – in some cases, still quite traditionally on a wood-burning stove.
Whether wild fruit purée, mother juices, apple cider vinegar, traditional elixirs, fermented beverages, or Serbian specialties – we place special emphasis on natural ingredients, gentle processing, and as few additives as possible. We produce many of our items with no added sugar.
What is particularly close to our hearts is the preservation of heirloom fruit and vegetable varieties and original foods, whose unique taste has often been forgotten today.
In every jar, there is a piece of Serbia, lived family tradition, and the memory of the pure taste of earlier times.
